Day 4: Grace in the small things

Day 4: Grace in the Small Things Scripture: “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” — Zechariah 4:10 (NLT) Devotional: It’s easy to miss the beauty in the mundane. The sticky fingerprints on the window, the same toy picked up for the tenth time, the endless loop of snacks, spills, and bedtime routines—none of it feels grand or noteworthy. But motherhood isn’t about the big moments alone. It’s in the crumbs under the highchair, the mismatched socks, the whispered “I love you” at the end of a long day. God doesn’t overlook the small things. In fact, He delights in them. The world may not applaud diaper changes or middle-of-the-night rocking, but heaven sees. Every little act of love is a seed planted in your child’s heart. Every sacrifice, every sigh, every smile—He gathers it all. When Jesus broke bread and gave thanks, it was just five loaves and two fish. Small in the world’s eyes, but more than enough in the hands of a God who multi...

Day 3: Prayers from the laundry room

Day 3: Prayers from the Laundry Room Scripture: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” — Philippians 4:6 (ESV) Devotion: There’s something sacred about the hum of the washer and the rhythm of folding towels. In a season where we rarely get quiet moments, even the laundry room can become holy ground. It’s in these ordinary, overlooked corners that God gently reminds us He is near. Between matching socks and scrubbing out stains, there’s space for whispered prayers—pleas for strength, cries for patience, or simply a silent “thank You” that bubbles up when we find joy in the mundane. The laundry doesn’t care if you’re overwhelmed. It keeps piling up. But God? He  does  care. He meets you right there, barefoot on the linoleum, holding a basket full of chaos. He isn’t waiting for a quiet church pew or a perfectly staged morning devotional. He delights in your honest prayers mi...

Day 2: I’m not just a mom

Day 2: I’m Not Just a Mom Scripture: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10 (ESV) Devotion: Some days, the title “mom” feels like a weight instead of a crown. Not because it’s not beautiful. Not because I’m not grateful. But because the world treats “mom” like it’s somehow less. Like being “just a mom” means you don’t dream anymore, don’t create anymore, don’t  matter  as much anymore. The truth? There’s no  just  about it. God didn’t put a period at the end of  mother . He wrote your name into eternity and called you  His workmanship . Not  just  a caretaker. Not  just  a diaper changer or mess cleaner. But His masterpiece—designed for purpose, value, and Kingdom impact. Every scraped knee you kiss, every snack you prepare, every meltdown you breathe through with grace—it echoes in heaven louder than the world will ever und...

Day 1: The Crumbs are Enough

Anchor Scripture “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”  – Matthew 15:27 (ESV) Devotional Thought There are moments when you feel like you have nothing to offer—when the endless laundry, broken dishes, and constant little demands weigh you down and make you feel invisible. In these moments, it can seem as though God only offers you the “crumbs” of His attention and care. But let me share a secret: those crumbs, as small as they seem, are filled with His enormous love and grace. God meets you in the midst of your messy, imperfect world. Even when you feel broken, tired, and overwhelmed, His grace is sprinkled upon you, inviting you to trust Him with every little piece of your heart. Remember, you are not defined by your schedule, the challenges of the day, or your exhaustion. You are seen by God. He knows every tear, every whispered prayer in the quiet moments, and every ounce of strength it takes just to keep going. Today, let the ...

Dedication

“The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.” —Psalm 126:3 (ESV) For Cary-Ann, my sweet girl— You are the reason I first knelt down in the trenches and looked up to Heaven with trembling hands. Your laughter, your tears, your little footsteps… they’ve led me deeper into grace than I ever imagined. I pray you grow up knowing the strength of a mother who turned to Jesus in every season. For my Mama and Grandma, who worked hard, carried so much, and helped shape the woman and mother I am today. You taught me resilience, sacrifice, and the power of a woman’s love. For Justin, my steady, strong, and selfless partner. Thank you for giving me the gift of being home. Your belief in me and your unwavering support have allowed this calling to bloom. And most of all, for God, who took the dust of my brokenness and formed something whole. This calling, my motherhood, and every breath in between is because of Your goodness. May You receive all the glory.

Introduction: Welcome to the Crumbs

Dear Mama, If you’re reading this blog, there’s a good chance you’re exhausted—physically, emotionally, maybe even spiritually. You may be surrounded by toys, dishes, diapers, and a million questions like “What’s for dinner?” or “Where are my shoes?” You may feel like the world has forgotten you somewhere between nap schedules and meal prep. Maybe you’ve even started to forget yourself. I’ve been there. This devotional was born from the middle of my mess—from the days I cried in the bathroom, whispered prayers into the silence, and begged God to remind me I wasn’t invisible. It came from the moments when all I had to offer Him were crumbs: a few hurried prayers, tired faith, and hands that never seemed to stop working. But here’s the beautiful truth: God met me there. Not after I had it all together. Not when I felt strong or holy or enough. Right there in the crumbs—He met me, healed me, and started putting me back together. And He wants to meet  you  there too. This b...
