Day 1: The Crumbs are Enough

 Anchor Scripture

“Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” – Matthew 15:27 (ESV)

Devotional Thought

There are moments when you feel like you have nothing to offer—when the endless laundry, broken dishes, and constant little demands weigh you down and make you feel invisible. In these moments, it can seem as though God only offers you the “crumbs” of His attention and care. But let me share a secret: those crumbs, as small as they seem, are filled with His enormous love and grace. God meets you in the midst of your messy, imperfect world. Even when you feel broken, tired, and overwhelmed, His grace is sprinkled upon you, inviting you to trust Him with every little piece of your heart.

Remember, you are not defined by your schedule, the challenges of the day, or your exhaustion. You are seen by God. He knows every tear, every whispered prayer in the quiet moments, and every ounce of strength it takes just to keep going. Today, let the crumbs remind you that even a little taste of Jesus is enough to fill you with hope and renewal.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me even in my brokenness. When I feel small and unseen, remind me that Your love is big enough to carry every part of me. Help me to find hope in Your smallest gifts, and to trust that even when all I have to offer are crumbs, You transform them into a feast of grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Journal Prompts

In what moments today did you feel like you were only receiving “crumbs” of care or attention?

How might you see these small moments as opportunities for God’s greater work in your life?

Write down one way you can invite God into your day, even in the small, messy moments.

Take your time with these reflections, and remember that each crumb is a stepping stone toward experiencing the fullness of His love, even in the trenches of motherhood. Enjoy this journey, Mama, and may you find grace in every little moment.
